Our Business

The Biewer Breed Club of America Inc., (BBCA), administers a Biewer Rescue as a non-profit organization recognized as a chapter of the BBCA, and dedicated to the betterment and welfare of the Biewer.

A chairperson, selected by the board of directors, oversees the rescue organization.  The chairperson forms a network of rescue workers and foster homes throughout the United States that can react quickly to rescue Biewers, and are registered with veterinarians and humane societies.  This volunteer corps of rescue workers provides the service out of love for the breed and in respect for the Biewers unique combination of qualities.  A Biewer is not to be acquired casually or disposed of lightly.

Biewers are typically affectionate, friendly, and have a sound temperament, and will not be placed if found to have an unsound temperament.  However, no one can predict how any dog will react in a given situation without first obtaining complete knowledge of the dog’s past life experiences.  Therefore, adoptive owners must exercise prudence and caution in introducing an adoptive dog into a new situation until he/she has become fully adjusted to its new environment and the adoptive owner has an opportunity to become familiar with the Biewers unique personality.

Who We Are

The BBCAR consists of a dedicated group of volunteers who are committed to ensuring the safety and preservation of the beloved Biewer.

Our team comes from various backgrounds and are interspersed throughout the United States and Canada.  We work in many capacities to accomplish our common goal.

Through on-going fundraising projects, we work to ensure that the money is available to provide the care needed for any Biewer that comes to our program.

We can always use another volunteer.  If you are interested in helping the BBCAR, please contact us at general@BiewerRescue.com
